This is the area of Dholera commentary with the most unverified claims. We explain why the region is a credible candidate for data centres and AI infrastructure, and we state plainly what has not been officially confirmed.
AI compute clusters need dense power, cooling and low-latency fibre in one place. Greenfield industrial regions with pre-planned utility corridors are natural candidates because retrofitting these attributes into an existing city is far harder.
Data-centre developers evaluate land title clarity, contiguous parcel size, grid capacity, redundancy, water for cooling and fibre routes. Dholera's planned layout addresses several of these on paper; each still needs site-level confirmation.
Torrent Power is the licensed distributor for Dholera SIR, with tariffs approved by the Gujarat Electricity Regulatory Commission, and large solar generation operates in the region. Power availability and price are usually the deciding factor for digital infrastructure.
ICT ducting and fibre pathways were laid alongside activation-area roads, managed from the ABCD command building, so new connections do not require road cutting. Carrier presence and route diversity still need to be verified project by project.
Semiconductor and advanced manufacturing plants generate their own demand for edge compute, industrial automation and analytics capacity — demand that typically gets served locally rather than from a distant metro.
We have not been able to trace an official company or government confirmation of a built or under-construction data centre inside Dholera SIR. Where you see such claims elsewhere, ask for the primary source. When a confirmed agreement or approval is published, it will appear on this page with a status label and a link.
